I am a Spatial Strategist and Designer based in Toronto with a strong interest in the way people interact with their surroundings and a passion for designing products and strategies that improve the experience of these spaces.
I started my professional career working as a Staff Architect at TEN Arquitectos with Enrique Norten in 2006. During my tenure at TEN, I worked mostly on large-scale projects where our team constantly interacted with various consultants from different backgrounds and areas of expertise. Being exposed to such a talented group of professionals piqued my interest in better understanding all the various factors that create a successful place and a memorable experience. I realized then that the typical path of the Architect wasn’t for me, and I started creating my own.
Ever since I’ve grown to be more of a Spatial Strategist and less of a typical Architect. I have a career in building bridges between different disciplines like Architecture, Graphic Design, Design Strategy, and Interior Design. I’ve also successfully facilitated foresight and ideation workshops and charrettes, where some results have been picked by local and national publications. All this I’ve done in collaboration with some globally renowned studios like Bruce Mau Design, Entro Communications, and the Institute Without Boundaries.
I have worked on projects for the Guggenheim Museum, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, FIFA, Mexico City Government among many others.
Although I’ve been defined as a One-Man-Army, I’m always looking for a new cool collaboration.
